While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I found behind its threshold was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

From the moment I walked in , it was apparent that upkeep was not a priority at Masterson’s . The ground was covered in grime , and a foul smell of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms polluted the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of urine , old age and a sickly smell. The serving zone , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The lavatory was in even a truly awful state— clogged , with a snapped lever and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Many guests have reported spotting critters darting across the counter and signs of rats in the basement . For a business that provides refreshments , these issues are utterly disgraceful and raise serious concerns about the sanitation of the food and drinks .

His presence at the bar often resembled that of a unsettling figure than a welcoming host .
